Members and friends of the East Church Prayer Shawl Ministry put finishing touches on their contribution to the Little Dresses for Africa charity. The group has been working on this project for a year, and on January 26 the final pressing and packaging took place. Congregation members donated pillow cases to be made into dresses. Patterns were selected to fit a range of sizes, and to be flexible enough to be handed down in a family or a community. There are still some donated pillow cases left over and a lot of interest within East Church, so the group anticipates the project will continue after this first batch is shipped.
