Thank you to David Palmer and Mark Whipple for these images.
Easter 2013 was glorious. The sun was shining, the temperature was mild, the kids were adorable, the sanctuary was full and the bells were ringing (thank you, David!). We enjoyed decorating the stark, bare cross with flowers. We invited all willing and able to join the choir in the "Hallelujah Chorus" for a postlude. We all piled outside in a procession, following the beautiful cross, for a benediction on the front lawn that served as a blessing for the towns of Milton and Quincy. And then the kids scrambled to find Easter eggs, hidden about the property.
Hosanna! Processions and Pony Rides!
Tongues of fire and rainbow scarves and one really BIG Coffee Hour. The Prayer Shawl Tem contributed to the Conference's Scarf Project, an initiative designed to raise awareness about violence, especially violence directed against LGBT youth and young adults, and to engage people in action.
We were blessed with clear skies, summery temperatures and amazingly wonderful staff and Youth.
