Birthday Bash 2011

Our annual celebration of our birthdays! Seating at this fun lunch is by birth month, which provides a great opportunity to meet people you recognize but might not know well. It also makes for a very effective inter-generational mixer. Some unbelievable cakes were provided to top off an exceptional meal!

Games Night 2011

Sponsored by the Growth & Development and the Christian Education Committees, Games Night convinced over 40 individuals to come out on a bitterly cold night! Maybe it was Mike's last minute Pizza Judging inspiration. Maybe it was the Bridge tutorial or the abundance of Lego. Whatever it was that attracted the intergenerational crowd, this event was a bright, warm moment in the snowy mid-winter.

Hanging of the Greens Service 2010

On Sunday, November 29, the first Sunday in Advent this year, East Church presented its annual "Hanging of the Greens" service. Readings explaining the symbols of Advent were presented by the youth and, as the congregation sang traditional Advent hymns, the children set about decorating the Sanctuary. Following worship, an intergenerational Craft Fair in Fellowship Hall was a huge success.
