Pastor Mark’s Weekly Reflection

Pentecost’s story teaches us that the church never would have, never could have been born, were it not for the Holy Spirit moving among the diverse languages and cultures gathered in Jerusalem so long ago. Let us pray for the Spirit of Pentecost to be born again in America.

Annual Meeting
Sunday, June 2, following Coffee Hour, in Fellowship Hall.
All members are encouraged to attend - this is the one big policy and business meeting of our year. It's important that everyone's input be heard.

An inspirational Outreach
Our good friends at common cathedral recently released a really moving newsletter. You may know that common cathedral ministers to the homeless in Boston. We were all affected in the days following the events that began with the Marathon bombings. The homeless community wasn't exempt. In fact, many in that community live with a history of trauma and consequently were actually more shaken than some of the rest of us. Please take a moment to read Rev. Kathy McAdams' account, and thank God for the ministry provided by common cathedral.
